Weekend Jazz at Lowes Madison Hotel, Washington, DC

Loews Madison Hotel features the DC area's top jazz artists every Friday and Saturday. On Thursday nights, we host a happy hour series that features a range of music from Latin America.  Performances take place in PostScript, the hotel's lounge located just off the lobby. Please join us for these outstanding performers:

David Schulman
Thursday, August 21, 6pm - 9pm

David Schulman and Quiet Life Motel

Electric violinist David Schulman creates layers of strings that shimmer and sway over Latin jazz grooves. His music has been described as "mysterious and beautiful" by The Washington Post, and selections from his “Quiet Life Motel” album have been heard nationally on NPR’s Weekend Edition. He's joined by bassist Eddie Eatmon and percussionist Felix Contreras.

Sharon Clark
Friday, August 22, 8pm - 11pm

Sharón Clark

Come see why critics and audiences alike cheer for DC sensation Sharón Clark. The Wall Street Journal raves: “new and amazing . . . an absolute triumph,” and the NY Times agrees: “You can’t underestimate the transformation of what seems like an ordinary song when an interpreter like Sharón Clark tears it apart and peers inside." She’ll appear with Chris Grasso, piano, and Tommy Cecil, bass.

Lee Pearson
Saturday, August 23, 8pm - 11pm

Lee Pearson

As audiences across the globe will attest, drummer Lee Pearson is a phenomenon.
